Eversolo DMP-A6 Hi-Fi Music Streamer

We’re enjoying playing with the new Eversolo DMP-A6 Hi-Fi music streamer in our demo rooms. While still learning how all the in-depth functions work and what the feature set offers, there is no denying the enormous value on offer here!

This device is a Streamer, Pre-amp (Balanced/SE), Music Storage/CD Ripper, Renderer, Roon Ready / MQA music player.

Let’s cover some of the basics – these will be of interest whether you’re a music streaming newbie or an old hand 😊:

1. If you love your existing amplifier but it lacks some modern connectivity, then simply connect this device to a spare input and immediately you have access to the wonderful world of music streaming, be it from Cloud-based services like Spotify, Tidal, and Qobuz or from locally-stored music on NAS or PC/Laptops.
2. Super easy to use with either Android or IOS devices.
3. Can be used as a streaming transport if you already own a DAC. It has volume control when used in this mode.
4. Has the ability to have an SSD Drive (M.2 NV Me Solid State Drive – up to 4TB, optional) easily installed so you can put all your home music directly into the Eversolo.
5. Has the ability to copy your CDs via an optional external USB Drive directly into the internal SSD drive. These optional third party drives usually cost less than $100, allowing the Eversolo DMP-A6 bit-perfect copying of your favorite CDs.
6. Airplay allows those who are Apple-centric to enjoy their music database.
7. Capable of reading your home network NAS drive, also the Eversolo is “Roon Ready”
8. Built in internet radio, a boon for those that live in poor reception areas.
9. Very snazzy large 6” LCD touchscreen, full album information shown as well as a standby clock (can also be switched off)

Let me put it this way, the feature set on offer here is not out of place on a $5000 streamer. Sonically it is rich, tonally balanced, presents a superb soundstage, and certainly provides the great pace, rhythm and timing we love so much. For $1599, we have not encountered such a well-equipped, feature rich, great sounding piece of hi-fi kit at this price point.. What’s not to like!
