New Product: Award-Winning Vertere Acoustics DG-1 Dynamic Groove Record Player

We recently unboxed and set-up Vertere Acoustics' DG-1 Dynamic Groove high-end record player. With its modern look, flat-styled arm and designer finish of gloss black, its sure to polarise opinion!
Unlike the more traditional Rega fixed-bearing designs, or the Linn suspended bearing LP12, its sonic signature, fitted as it our demo model is with an entry Audio Technica style MM cartridge it sits firmly between the two.
Upon first listen, initial impressions tell of sound with great insight and clarity into recordings - think some of the usual 'hi-fi' or 'audiophile' metaphors - yet underpinned by a solid rhythmic sense of timing and drive.
We're impressed, and certainly if this 'entry level' deck for the Vertere brand - if one can call the $6395 price entry level, can sound as good as it does, then we are even more excited to hear some of the bigger Magic Groove and Super Groove level Vertere record players.
