Skyanalog might be the largest cartridge manufacturer you’ve never heard of. You may even have listened to cartridges they helped produce without realising. How’s that? Well, Skyanalog is an OEM manufacturer for several well-known cartridge brands that launched their own Skyanalog brand in 2019, with their acclaimed G Series range of cartridges. Since then, their range has expanded to include seven Moving Coil cartridges, including two top-tier reference models and their entry-level P Series.

The Real Music Company was recently visited by Ian Kemsley from the Chord Company, who provided a firsthand demonstration of how cables can influence your system and the technologies they use to preserve the audio signal. Of particular interest was how a cable that isn't even in the signal path can affect the final sound quality.
