Why LeylineX works over long distances
Early multi-room A/V installations demanded long cable runs to amplifiers in a single, central location. Off-the-shelf cheap cable wasn't good enough, and premium options like silver-plating or PTFE insulation weren't practical at the lengths and price points required. Chord's engineers found a smarter solution: oxygen-free copper conductors with low-density polyethylene insulation in a twisted-pair configuration — the same proven geometry used across the Chord range.
Solving the high-frequency drop-off
Longer cable runs typically lose high-frequency detail, along with soundstage width and coherence. Chord solved this by tin-plating the copper conductors — restoring clarity and detail without pushing the cable into overly bright territory.

“Absolutely love the speakers. The speakers do show of the recording. If however the recording is not well mixed it will show the listener as well that it was a bad recording. When they did a bond song together. However if you have a well recorded album like London Grammar or Faithless etc the music is not just fun but dynamic and entertaining.
