The DS-10 EVO is a versatile streaming DAC that combines a high-quality D/A converter, line preamplifier, and headphone amplifier in a compact aluminium chassis, making it an ideal match for any high-end audio system.
With the DS-10 EVO, you can stream music from Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, vTuner, and Deezer, or play from local sources such as NAS, USB drives, and smartphones. It is Roon Ready, compatible with UPnP/DLNA and AirPlay 2, and connects to your network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Designed for flexibility, the DS-10 EVO offers real-time adjustment of the DAC profile to match the music you’re listening to. You can tailor de-emphasis parameters, low-pass digital filters, and DSD filters during playback. All settings are accessible quickly and intuitively through the dedicated menu and the 2.8″ TFT display.
Control is simple and convenient: use the SKC knob on the front panel, the Gold Note remote, or the GN Control App. The GN Control App not only offers an intuitive interface on your smartphone or tablet, it also displays track details such as format and resolution and allows easy firmware updates via the internet.
Combined with the PA-10 EVO Power Amplifierand A3 EVO II (or A6 EVO II) loudspeakers, the DS-10 EVO forms the heart of a modern, compact, high-performance audio system.

CHAMELEON DAC
The 3 parameters of the Chameleon Function affect the sound independently, so you can change one at a time to fine-tune the DAC. The effects can also be combined for a total of 48 configurations, giving you virtually unlimited flexibility.
The parameter that affects the sound the most is the PCM EQ, which controls the DAC chipset. Here’s a summary of the settings:
1 (natural tone) = super slow roll-off
2 (acoustic tone) = short delay with slow roll-off, with a group delay of 5.3/Fs
3 (traditional tone) = slow roll-off
4 (harmonic sound) = short delay with low dispersion
5 (acoustic sound) = short delay with sharp roll-off, with a group delay of 6.25/Fs
6 (traditional sound) = sharp roll-off
We suggest starting the fine-tuning with the PCM EQ, then move to adjust the DEE, and lastly the DSD filter.
These two parameters are extremely delicate so the way they affect the sound is finer and less evident but can make quite a difference in some systems.
